Ghana
From elfpedia.eu
The Republic of Ghana is a country in West Africa. It has nearly 35 million inhabitants.
The Ghana American Football Federation (GAFF) was founded in 2017, after two predecessors disappeared.[1] Serveral players born in Ghana played in the National Football League (NFL), e.g. Ezekiel Ansah, who played six seasons for the Detroit Lions (2013–2018), and one season for the Seattle Seahawks (2019) and the San Francisco 49ers (2020).[2] The NFL held a developmental camp in Ghana in 2022,[3] and the cooperation with the NFL lead to introducing American Football in schools.[4]
Players[edit | edit source]
Ghanaian players in the European League of Football typically started football in Europe. Hence, they are often considered as homegrown players.
