The Republic of Moldova is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe, on the northeastern corner of the Balkans. The country has a population of approximately 2.5 million. It is is bordered by Romania to the west and Ukraine to the north, east, and south.
The only football team in Moldova are the Chișinău Sentinels, which developed out of an university team. Lately they have played in the second division Romanian Arena Football League.
The only Moldovian player in the European League of Football is Marian Cebotaru, a Homegrown player for the Milano Seamen.
