The Netherlands is a country in Northwestern Europe, with overseas territories in the Caribbean. It borders Germany to the east and Belgium to the south, and has with a maritime border with the United Kingdom. It has a population of over 18 million people. Amsterdam is the country's most populous city.
The Amsterdam Rams were the first Dutch team to play an American football game, facing the German Herne Tigers in 1981. The Amsterdam Admirals were part of the World League/NFL Europe from 1995 to 2007, winning a World Bowl in 2005.
Since 2021, an investor group is working to bring an Amsterdam team to the European League of Football.[1] However, no franchise agreement could be signed for the 2025 season.[2]
