Denmark
Denmark (Danish: Danmark) is a country in Northern Europe. There is no ELF team in Denmark, but Copenhagen has been mentioned in November 2021 by Commissioner Esume as potential expansion location.
As of 2024, only a couple of Danish players have played in the European League of Football. The best known is probably Joachim Christensen, who won the ELF championship with Frankfurt Galaxy in 2021 and with Rhein Fire in 2023.
European League of Football teams[edit | edit source]
Copenhagen was mentioned as potential ELF expansion site by Commissioner Esume since the initial ELF season.[1] In spring 2024, Gladsaxe Commune near Copenhagen discussed the request to make Gladsaxe stadium available for a football team. On September 24, Nordic Storm was presented as first Scandinavian team, with homegrown area not only Denmark, but also Sweden.
