The Nordic Storm are an American football team based in Copenhagen, Denmark, that plays in the European League of Football (ELF) since 2025. [1]

History[edit | edit source]

Nordic Storm is an American football team from the Danish capital Copenhagen. The team will compete in the European League of Football (ELF) in 2025.

Storm is a homegrown area for both Denmark and Sweden. This means that the team can sign an unlimited number of players from Denmark and Sweden. In principle, the use of players who were not trained in the team's country is limited in the ELF.

Owners[edit | edit source]

In addition to Randall Schröder, who was QB of the Stuttgart Surge in 2022, Kostas Panayotis (sales manager with sports experience), Jakob Munksgaard (former president of the Danish Team Copenhagen Towers), Peter Friis and Michael Weidick Planeta as chairman are also part of the Nordic Storm ownership group.

2025 Season[edit | edit source]

Head Coach in the first year will be John Shoop, who was Head Coach of the Munich Ravens in 2023 and QB Coach of the Rhein Fire in 2024. [2] Defensive Coordinator will be Brandon Noble, who held the same position with Hamburg Sea Devils in 2023 & 2024. [3]

On November 8, 2024, Nordic Storm announced their first two additions for their first season. They are Glen Toonga (Running back) and Jadrian Clark (Quarterback). Both have won the championship with Rhein Fire 2023 & 2024.

Stadium[edit | edit source]

The team plays at Gladsaxe Stadium in Søborg, a suburb of Copenhagen. The stadium has a spectator capacity of 13,507, of which around 8,000 are covered.
