The team was announced at 19th May 2023 at the Season 3 Kick Off Press Confernce as Madrid ELF Team. The name and logo of the new franchise were be announced on September 26, 2023.

On Oct. 25, 2023, the franchise announced that veteran coach Rip Scherer will be their head coach for the 2024 season. [3]
In the Western Conference, the Bravos 2024 competed against the Hamburg Sea Devils, Paris Musketeers, Frankfurt Galaxy, Cologne Centurions and Rhein Fire.
Their interconference rivals were the Barcelona Dragons. The Madrid Bravos have already been able to introduce several high-caliber players in their first off-season. In addition to wide receiver William Patterson, edge rusher Alejandro Fernandez also transferred from Rhein Fire to the Spanish franchise.
The Bravos started their franchise history with a win in the Spanish derby against Barcelona. This was followed by a surprising victory at reigning champions Rhein Fire. After the season, Head Coach Rip Scherer left the team for personal reasons. Assistant Head Coach Mac McWhorter (retirement) and Offensive Coordinator Dave Warner (moved to the Prague Lions as Head Coach) also left the franchise.
Andrew Weidinger became the new Head Coach on October 1, 2024. Weidinger was previously Offensive Coordinator of Rhein Fire for two years and Head Coach of the Barcelona Dragons in 2022. [4]
