Croatia
Croatia (Croatian: Hrvatska) is a country in Central/Southeast Europe, on the Adriatic Sea. It has a population of around 3.9 million people. Croatia borders Slovenia to the northwest, Hungary to the northeast, Serbia to the east, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro to the southeast. It shares a maritime border with Italy to the west.
The first American Football team in Croatia, Zagreb Thunder, was founded in 2005. The Croatian League of American Football was played between 2010 and 2018.
Only one Croatian player has been active in the European League of Football, Marko Vidović for Frankfurt Galaxy in 2021.
On August 24, 2024, the Croatian city of Šibenik hosts the first ELF International Game between the Hamburg Sea Devils and the Madrid Bravos.
