ELF Team Colors

Primary team colors as of 2025. Two thirds of current ELF teams wear either black or dark-blue home uniform.
Here the "primary color" is taken to be the color of the jersey, as the largest uniform part. Pants in the home uniform have the same color for most of the teams. A distinct color for helmets is more widespread.

For comparison, here are the frequencies of primary color groups in NFL as of 2024:
- Black: 6 (Bengals, Falcons, Panthers, Raiders, Saints, Steelers)
- Dark blue: 7 (Bears, Colts, Cowboys, Patriots, Texans, Titans, Seahawks)
- Brown: 1 (Browns)
- Lila: 1 (Vikings)
- Red: 5 (49ers, Buccaneers, Cardinals, Chiefs, Commanders)
- Orange: 1 (Broncos)
- Green: 3 (Eagles, Jets, Packers)
- Light and medium blue: 6 (Bills, Chargers, Giants, Lions, Rams, Ravens)
- Cyan: 2 (Dolphins, Jaguars)
NFL teams also have pants that are differently colored compared to jerseys much more often. For example, of the six teams that have black home jerseys, only the Saints are "fully black" in that they also wear black pants.
